Alice In Chains' Founding Bassist Mike Starr Found DeadAlice In Chains' founding bassist Mike Starr has been found dead in Salt Lake City, it has been reported.

Starr, aged 44, was found dead at his home in Salt Lake City yesterday afternoon (March 8), a report by TMZ claims.

Police found Starr's body after they had been notified via a telephone call.

Starr's father told TMZ: "It's a terrible shock and tragedy."

Starr, who has had prior drug addictions, appeared on US reality show 'Celebrity Rehab' last year to help combat his heroin addiction.

The official cause of his death has yet to be confirmed.
