The Flaming Lips To Release Cover Of 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'!October 16, 2009
The Flaming Lips have already recorded the follow-up their new long-player 'Embyronic' and it's a reinterpretation of Pink Floyd's seminal 1973 album 'The Dark Side of the Moon'!
A truly mouth-watering prospect, the Oklahoma-based psychedelic rockers have also drafted in Peaches and Henry Rollins as guests on the record which re-imagines The Floyd's album track-by-track. Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne made the revelation at a Q&A session shortly before their show at the Ricardo Montalbán Theater in Hollywood last night (October 15). The LA Times reports that the covers album is likely to be an iTunes only release initially. (by Scott Colothan) See also: The Flaming Lips Announce Special New Years Eve Gig (22.10.2010)
