Rage Against The Machine Sing 'F*ck You I Won't Do What You Tell Me' Live On The BBC!December 17, 2009
Rage Against the Machine have caused the BBC a major headache after singing the closing expletive strewn part of 'Killing In The Name' on air at 9am this morning.
The band were appearing on Nick Campbell's breakfast show on BBC Radio Five live this morning where they spoke of the chart battle with X Factor's Joe McElderry and performed 'Killing In The Name' live. Under orders not to swear, at the song's climax Zach de la Rocha sang “I won't do what you tell me" before launching into “FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!” The show's producer then swiftly interrupts in a panic, shouting: “Get rid of it!” She then continued: “Sorry we needed to get rid of that, it's something we weren't expecting. We asked them not to do it and they did it anyway. Buy Joe's record!” You can listen to the interview and the glorious swearing below - skip through to eight mins in to hear the swearing.
