Blogs Ordered To Remove Radiohead 'In Rainbows' DownloadsAugust 4, 2010
A number of music bloggers have been ordered to remove free download links to Radiohead's 'In Rainbows'.
The two major recording industry bodies, the RIAA and IFPI, said the blogs had not been given permission to host the music. "These recordings are owned by one of our member companies and have not been authorised for this kind of use," said the RIAA in a letter written to the Google-owned blogging service Blogspot. The IFPI issued a similar response, according to TorrentFreak. Radiohead broke boundaries in 2007 when they released 'In Rainbows' with a pay-what-you-want policy. The album was later released on CD, digital-download and limited edition disc box. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Radiohead Record Store Day Release Leaks Online (14.04.2011)
