Radiohead's Thom Yorke Showcases New Material At LatitudeJuly 20, 2009
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke debuted a new song during a rare solo performance at the Latitude festival in Suffolk.
The singer wowed fans with a midday set on Sunday, which comprised mostly of tracks taken from the singer's 2006 album 'The Eraser'. But Yorke also played a selection of Radiohead songs, including 'Weird Fishes/Arpeggi' and 'True Love Waits'. Despite his early billing on the main stage, Yorke proved one of the biggest draws of the three day festival. When he introduced his new track, which is currently untitled, Yorke said it had been "sitting on the shelf and never really come off the shelf". But, he added, wryly: "Anyway, you can get it on YouTube now." Grace Jones, Pet Shop Boys and Little Boots were among the other performers at the festival.
