Led Zeppelin, Radiohead And Coldplay To Headline Glastonbury Festival?September 10, 2008
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and Coldplay are all targets to headline next year's festival.
Eavis, who books bands along with her father, Michael, said Stevie Wonder is also being considered for the event's Sunday afternoon legend slot. "Coldplay are a great Glastonbury band, as are Radiohead, but it's really hard to say at the moment for definite who's going to play next year,” Eavis told the Mirror online. “It would be really good to have an appearance by Led Zeppelin too, that's one band who haven't played here. "That would be quite a one-off. But I don't know whether or not it's going to happen.” Organisers are expected to have a clearer view on possible performers at Christmas, although it's not certain whether they'll announce the line up then. Eavis also revealed that all 135,000 tickets for the festival will be available from next month to those who have registered an interest in attending. Fans who purchase tickets will have to pay £50 in October and the remaining balance in April 2009. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Radiohead Record Store Day Release Leaks Online (14.04.2011)
