Peter Hook To Perform Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures' At Manchester GigApril 15, 2010
Peter Hook will perform Joy Division’s ‘Unknown Pleasures’ sequentially and in its entirety at a gig in Manchester on May 18.
The gig, at The Factory, coincides with the 30th anniversary of frontman Ian Curtis’s death. It will be the first time that former Joy Division bassist Hook has performed the record in its entirety. The Factory is also planning an exhibition to coincide with the concert, which will showcase images, artefacts and other memorabilia from Joy Division’s career. Tickets for the gig - priced £19.99 - are on sale now. A proportion of ticket proceeds from the show will be split between the leading mental health charity Mind and the Keith Bennett Appeal.
