Paul Weller: 'I'd Love To Tour New Album In Full'April 15, 2008
Paul Weller has revealed that he’d like to tour his new double album, ’22 Dreams’, in full, but admitted that it would be “very difficult”.
Speaking to the BBC, Weller said: “I’d love to play the album in full – I’d love to, but some of the tracks…we would probably have about 27 musicians on stage, do you know what I mean?” The former Jam frontman explained that without using backing tapes, the band wouldn’t be able to “replicate” songs off the album. When asked about the making of ’22 Dreams’, Weller said that the album is “more produced” than his previous efforts. “Not over produced but it’s got more production I would say anyway – which is not always the easiest thing to put over live,” he said. Released on May 26th, the album features a collaboration with Oasis’ Noel Gallagher on the song ‘Echoes Round The Sun’.
