Keane Crack Joke About Oasis' Noel Gallagher's Onstage AttackOctober 10, 2008
Keane drummer Richard Hughes appeared to mock Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher's onstage attack during a radio interview earlier this week.
Gallagher suffered three broken ribs last month when a man pushed him from behind during the Oasis' headlining appearance at the Virgin Festival in Canada. The injury forced the band to cancel the remainder of their North American tour, although they have since returned to the stage in the UK. Speaking to Capital Radio, Hughes said: “Get well soon, Noel. I heard he’s been suffering since he was ‘attacked’ and I understand he has properly injured his ribs. “Sounds like he was quite lucky not to get thrown off the stage.” Keane and Oasis have had a long running war of wards. Earlier this month, Gallagher branded the band “shit”. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Noel Gallagher Backs LS Lowry Campaign (26.04.2011)
