The Ting Tings Have 'No Plans' To Work With Jay-Z Or RihannaSeptember 17, 2010
The Ting Tings have denied reports that they are working with Jay-Z and Rihanna.
The Manchester duo have been linked to the high profile US stars since they signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management company last year. But in an exclusive video interview with Gigwise, singer Katie White said a collaboration wasn’t on the table at the moment. “We’ve met Jay-Z and he’s lovely and we’re fans of his, but we’ve never collaborated with anybody,” she said. “We’ve always wanted to keep our albums our work. Maybe we’ll collaborate one day with various different bands but I think it would be outside the album.” Drummer Jules de Martino added that the pair’s relationship with Roc Nation was “going really well”. Meanwhile, The Ting Tings are set to release their new single ‘Hands’ on October 11. The track is the first song to be taken from their as-yet-untitled second album, which is due out next year.
