Akon: 'Michael Jackson Was Never Satisfied With His Music'

October 26, 2009
Akon: 'Michael Jackson Was Never Satisfied With His Music'Akon has revealed Michael Jackson was rarely satisfied with the music they created together.

The US R&B star worked with the late singer on a series of new tracks that were scheduled for future release.

In an interview with MTV, Akon spoke about their experience in the studio and admitted the pair frequently disagreed over whether songs had been completed.

"He was never satisfied. Like, we might have passed up ideas that I know for a fact were smashes,” the singer said.

“He'd be like, 'Nah, nah — we got to come up with something better'. We can never do better 'cause his expectation was so high.”

Akon added: “It was almost to a point where we would have to get a record and I would believe in it and just put it out, 'cause it would never come out 'cause he always believed we could do better."

Meanwhile, This Is It, the documentary movie of Jackson rehearsing for his ill-fated comeback in London, is released on October 28.

Directed by choreographer Kenny Ortega, the film will receive a limited two-week run in cinemas.

Jackson died on June 25 in Los Angeles. He was 50.
