New Order To Re-Release Entire 1980s Back CatalogueSeptember 4, 2008
New Order are to re-release their entire back catalogue from the 1980s along with new bonus material.
The re-releases include the bands five albums from the decade – 'Movement', 'Power, Corruption & Lies', 'Low-Life', 'Brotherhood' and 'Technique'. Each album will come with a bonus disc which comprises of extended versions, b-sides and remixes, as well as extensive sleevenotes and interviews with all four band members. The re-releases come almost a year after former New Order bassist Peter Hook told last year that he had no intention to record again with the band. “There is no future for New Order. I mean, not as it was anyway. If they [Stephen Morris and Bernhard Sumner] want to form a New Order 2 then that’s what it should be viewed as,” Hook said. All five albums and their bonus discs are released on September 28th. (by Jason Gregory) See also: New Order And Hot Chip Record New Song Together (05.10.2010)
