My Chemical Romance Fans 'Planning London March'May 21, 2008
My Chemical Romance fans are understood to be planning a march across central London over the portrayal of emo music in the media.
The march, planned for May 31st, is expected to begin in Hyde Park and end at the offices of the Daily Mail newspaper. The newspaper was of a number of publications to report on the death of teenager Hannah Bond, who was found hanging in her bedroom. An inquest into the 13-year-old’s death heard that Bond had lived a double life and was a devout following of emo music. The coroner in the inquest, Roger Sykes, said that he found elements of the emo movement “very disturbing”. It's not clear how many fans are expected to feature on the march or whether it has been endorsed by the band.
