Damon Albarn Plays 'Final Gig' With GorillazDecember 22, 2010
Damon Albarn has revealed that Gorillaz may have played their final gig in their current line-up.
The singer made the admission at the last date on the band's world tour in Auckland, New Zealand. Gorillaz jaunt, which included several UK dates, has seen them perform live with the collaborators from this year's 'Plastic Beach'. Speaking to the audience, Albarn said: “For us, this is the last time. You know, we all hope and pray on this stage that all the people who worked with us we will get a chance to work together as a collective again. “But we may never do that again, so for us tonight is a very charged moment." Meanwhile, Gorillaz are due to release their new album 'The Fall' as a free download on Christmas Day (December 25).
