The View Are 'On Fire' At Secret London ShowNovember 29, 2010
The View played a raucous set at a secret London show at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club on Saturday (November 27).
The Scottish four-piece could well have been back in their hometown of Dundee judging by the atmosphere in the tiny 200 capacity venue. They played a high energy set filled ranging from 'Hats Off to the Buskers' fan-favourites to new unreleased material. With an impressive acoustic support set from Love In The Asylum the venue filled up quickly with dedicated View fans, friends and family. Taking to the stage, The View opened their set with a frenetic paced 'Wasteland’ followed by crowd pleaser 'Wasted Little DJ's' and '5 Rebecca's'. Other songs included tracks from their un-titled third album, 'Sunday' and 'Happy', which showcased a more mature sound. Lead singer Kyle Falconer, who is often over shadowed for his off stage activities, reaffirmed his status as a talented frontman holding the crowd together throughout, playing album favourite 'Gem Of A Bird'. Throughout the show the band seemed shocked by the warm heart felt reaction from those who had attended, constantly thanking the crowd. The band ended their set with 'Shock Horror', which turned the already high energy crowd into sheer madness. Meanwhile, The View are currently on tour in the UK ahead of their third album release in Spring.
