Mos Def, George Clinton and Rodrigo y Gabriela Headline New Stage At Glastonbury FestivalApril 7, 2010
Glastonbury Festival has announced a new stage for 2010 and its full line up.
The West Holts Stage will replace The Jazz World Stage at the same location and is headlined by Mos Def, George Clinton with Parliament/Funkadelic and Rodrigo y Gabriela. "We're going back to the real roots of Worthy Farm and its history with the name change for the stage," says Glastonbury main man Michael Eavis. "West Holts was a 'halt' originally; one of the two places where we had to open the level crossing gates across the old railway line to get the cattle through for milking. It was a fair walk up to the farm, just as it is now, and those cows took some driving!" Asked to sum up the sound of the stage, Eavis said: "Global future roots music." The West Holts Stage line up is as follows: FRIDAY JUNE 25TH
SATURDAY JUNE 26TH
SUNDAY JUNE 27TH
