Michael Jackson Fans Warned About 'Fake Tickets'March 5, 2009
Michael Jackson fans have been warned to avoid websites that claim to be selling tickets for the singer's pop comeback.
Jackson has yet to confirm any concerts, but is due to make a “special announcement” at London's O2 Arena later today (March 5th). It is thought he will outline details for a summer residency which will emulate Prince's 21-night run at the venue two years ago. Although the announcement has yet to be made, a number of ticket website have already begun offering tickets for the shows. Speaking to BBC 6Music, Graham Burns, head of the Association of Secondary Ticket Agents, warned fans against purchasing tickets before the gigs were finalised. "We are warning people not to buy tickets that are not yet on sale because it is unlikely that they will receive those tickets,” he said. "It’s impossible when the dates haven’t been announced to be selling tickets for something when there are no announced dates." If confirmed, Jackson's concerts will be one of the most anticipated events of the 21st century. He is thought to have agreed to perform in London because his music is still popular across much of Europe. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Michael Jackson Heal The World Lawsuit Resolved (20.04.2011)
