Marilyn Manson Winnipeg Gig 'Ends In Fan Violence'September 16, 2009
Three police officers were assaulted in violent clashes after a concert by Marilyn Manson in Winnipeg on Sunday, it's been reported.
The violence is believed to have unfolded as fans left the MTS Centre following the conclusion of the singer's show. Winnipeg police constable Blair Good said a group of people reacted angrily when peace officers tried to stop them wandering through traffic. Backup was called when other fans joined in the altercation. The clashes, which police said were alcohol influenced, led to five arrests, according to the Winnipeg Sun newspaper. A 24-year-old woman and two 26-year-old men have been charged with assaulting a peace officer, while two other men were charged with causing a disturbance and obstructing or resisting a peace officer. As previously reported, Manson will tour the UK this winter in support of his latest album 'The High End Of Low'.
