Madonna's 'Hard Candy' To Get Mobile ReleaseMarch 19, 2008
Madonna’s eleventh studio album, ‘Hard Candy’, is to be distributed to Vodafone mobile customers prior to its general release date of April 28th.
Thanks to an agreement between the mobile operator and Warner Music International, users will be able to download a track a day starting on April 21st. Each track will be available for 24-hours before being replaced by a new track off the album. John Reid, Vice Chairman WMI and President, Warner Music Europe, said he was “delighted to be able to debut such a rich menu of content from ‘Hard Candy’” using the mobile network ‘Hard Candy’ will be Madonna’s last album with Warner before she moves to an exclusive, all encompassing deal with the tour company Live Nation. The deal, which is the first of its kind, will see Live Nation control all of Madonna’s business assets, as well as her touring commitments.
