Lily Allen Gets First Class Ticket Through American ImmigrationJune 10, 2008
Lily Allen has told her American fans that “it's nice to be back” after being allowed into the country by immigration officials.
Last year the singer had her American visa revoked by US officials who were concerned by a police caution that related to an alleged altercation with a photographer. At the time, Allen apologised to fans, saying that she would try to do everything to play future dates in the country. Writing on her Myspace page on Sunday, Allen wrote: “So, they let me in. Hello America, it's nice to be back.” “Immigration was funny; they only kept me for an hour or so,” the singer added. Allen is in the country to continue recording songs for her as-yet-untitled second album. The record is due later this year.
