Lily Allen Accepts Damages Over 'False Cheryl Cole Remarks'

Lily Allen has accepted damages over allegations that she made a number of offensive comments about other celebrities.

An article in French football magazine So Foot in May 2009 included comments about David and Victoria Beckham and Ashley and Cheryl Cole.

But her lawyer Mark Thomson told Mr Justice Eady at London's High Court that the publishers had now accepted Allen had not made the statements.

So Press have agreed to apologise and pay damages, reports the Press Association.

Allen is currently taking a break from music while she awaits the birth of her first child.
