Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Hans Zimmer Score Pirates Of The Caribbean 4

Composer Hans Zimmer and Rodrigo Y Gabriela have collaborated on the soundtrack to the fourth film in the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.

Zimmer, whose credits include The Lion King, said the trio worked closely in the studio under his direction.

“The way we’re working, the three of us are sitting in a room, I play average keyboards and they play brilliant guitars and we’re writing cues together,” he said.

“There’s a force, a ferocity, about their sound.”

Zimmer was behind the soundtrack to Inception, which featured guitar playing from former Smiths star, Johnny Marr.

The soundtrack for Pirates Of The Caribbean On Stranger Tides is released on May 17. The film, starring Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, arrives in cinemas on May 20.
