Soundgarden To Release New Album Via Guitar Hero

Soundgarden have announced details of a new retrospective album.

The Seattle band, who have reunited, will release 'Telephantasm' on September 27 in the UK and the following day in the US.

The album includes songs from the band's back-catalogue, as well as the never-before-heard unreleased track 'Black Rain', taken from the 'Badmotorfinger' recording sessions.

'Telephantasm' will be available on single CD, two-disc expanded edition with bonus DVD and a Super Deluxe heavyweight vinyl edition.

One million copies will also be included inside the new Guitar Hero video game, Warriors Of Rock.

Soundgarden's original line-up of Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron played their first gig in twelve years in April.

They are also set to headline this weekend's ' Lollapalooza festival in Chicago's Grant Park.
