Katy Perry Slams Lady Gaga's 'Blasphemous' 'Alejandro' VideoJune 9, 2010
Katy Perry has apparently criticised the video for Lady Gaga’s new single ‘Alejandro’.
Perry appeared to describe the video as “blasphemous” shortly after it debuted yesterday. Directed by fashion photographer Steven Klein, the nine-minute video uses a variety of religious imagery, including a nun’s habit and crucifix. In a message on Twitter, Perry wrote: "Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.” Speaking recently, Lady Gaga desribed the video's theme as “homoerotic military", and said it was a “celebration of my love and appreciation for the gay community”. 'Alejandro' is released on CD, 7" picture disk and as a digital download on June 28. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Lady Gaga: 'Judas' Video To Debut Next Week (28.04.2011)
