Barack Obama 'Privileged To Support Lady GaGa'October 13, 2009
President Barack Obama said he felt honoured to take to the stage before Lady GaGa at a Human Rights Campaign dinner on Saturday.
The US leader told guests in Washington DC: "It's privilege to be here tonight to open for Lady Gaga. ... I've made it." The comment came after the recent Nobel Prize winner pledged his “unwavering” commitment to end a ban on gay people from serving in the American military. Lady GaGa performed an unusually coy set following Obama's speech, wearing a formal black dress. Her performance included a specially edited version of former Beatle John Lennon's 'Imagine'. On Sunday, the singer joined thousands of protesters on the National Equality March, which led calls for equality across America.
