Kiss To Record First Studio Album Since 1998December 11, 2008
Kiss will begin work next year on their first new studio album since 1998, it's been revealed.
Guitarist Paul Stanley said he would produce the album despite other band members' reluctance to record new material. "The fact is, [fans] may tolerate the new songs, but it's the old ones you want to hear," he told Billboard "I think [Led Zeppelin's] Jimmy Page and Robert Plant found that out. The [Rolling] Stones certainly know it. The Who certainly know it. “So unless you're willing to go into the studio accepting that how your album will be received will never match your expectations, I'm not sure it's worth the effort." Stanley said the album, their first since 'Psycho Circus', would be made “the way I wanted to do it”. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Lady Gaga To Record Song With KISS? (24.08.2010)
