Lady Gaga, Katy Perry Lead MTV EMAs 2010 Nominations

Lady Gaga and Katy Perry lead the nominations for this year's MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), with four each.

Both singers will go head-to-head with Rihanna in the categories for Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song.

Lady Gaga is also nominated for Best Live Act, while Perry is up for Best World Stage Performance.

The 17th annual EMAs will take place at Caja Magica in Madrid on November 7.

Elsewhere, Eminem has been shortlisted for four awards, including Best Song, Best Male and Best Video for his Rihanna-featuring track, 'Love The Way You Lie'.

Joining Lady Gaga in the Best Live act category are Muse, Kings Of Leon, Linkin Park and Bon Jovi.

Ke$ha, B.o.B, Jason Derulo, Plan B and Justin Bieber are all nominated for Best New Act.

Perry and Linkin Park will perform at the ceremony in November.
