Kings Of Leon, Kasabian To Headline V Festival 2010

Kings of Leon and Kasabian will headline this year’s V festival, it’s been announced.

The dual event runs from August 21-22 in Chelmsford and Staffordshire.

Kasabian's frontman Tom Meighan said: "We feel it's the right time for us to headline a festival.

"We've been playing so many festivals for so long, years and years. Our fans are going to love the show."

Other acts on the bill include Cheryl Cole, Madness, The Prodigy, Stereophonics and Pet Shop Boys.

Paul Weller, The Kooks, White Lies, La Roux and Paolo Nutini will also perform.

Recent Brit awards winner Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding and David Guetta will also appear at the event.

Tickets for the festival go on sale at 9am on Friday (March 5).
