Kasabian Call For Digital Downloading To Be EradicatedJanuary 14, 2010
Kasabian believe that digital music and illegal downloading has taken the magic out of buying music.
In fact, they're so despondent with the digital revolution, the Leicester band joked that they'd like to blow up iTunes. Bassist Chris Edwards complained: “No one has to queue up for an album. There’s no hysteria, no looking forward to it - you can download it months before, if you search the web enough.” “Wouldn’t it be phenomenal if there was some sort of wave that hit earth and wiped everyone’s computer and the only thing left was CDs and records?,” added guitarist Serge Pizzorno. Clearly on a roll, Edwards interjected to Hot Press: “You could go down and blow up iTunes so there’s no songs on the internet!. Then wipe out all the hard drives – beep! Then everyone would have to get CDs and records.” (by Scott Colothan) See also: Kasabian To Release 'Positive' New Album In October (27.04.2011)
