Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson Appear On American Idol

US rapper Kanye West made a special appearance on American Idol last night (March 11th).

The rapper performed new single 'Heartless' to an ecstatic studio audience during the live results show.

Former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson also appeared on the programme, performing her recent hit, 'My Life Would Suck Without You' on the show.

Both performers join a growing list of high profile musicians, including Mariah Carey and Prince, who have appeared on the show since it began in 2002.

16-year-old Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez, 20, were both voted off the reality TV show.
