Mogwai Confirm New Album, EP and Tour!

May 30, 2008
Mogwai Confirm New Album, EP and Tour! The mighty Mogwai have announced details of a new album, EP and UK tour.

Their sixth studio album will go under the rather fetching moniker of ‘The Hawk Is Howling’ and will hit the shelves on September 22. It will be preceded by the three-track EP called ‘The Batcat’ on September 8.

The EP features quite possibly the best song title we’ve heard this side of the millennium: 'Stupid Prick Gets Chased By The Police And Loses His Slut Girlfriend.'

To support both releases, the Scottish outfit will be heading out on a three date UK tour, taking in the following venues:

  • Edinburgh Corn Exchange – October 21
  • Manchester Academy – 23
  • London Hammersmith Apollo – 24
