December 31, 2010
The Charlatans' Jon Brookes To Return At New Years Eve Hogmanay GigThe Charlatans’ Jon Brookes is set to make his full return when the band perform at the Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh tonight (December 31).

The drummer has not performed a full gig with the group since he suffered a brain tumour in September.

Singer Tim Burgess said Brookes had got the all clear an was looking forward to performing at Concert In the Gardens with the rest of the band.

"It's going to be Jon's first gig back since September so that's going to be an emotional time for us as well,” he told the Daily Record.

"I think it is going to be an all round brilliant evening for everybody. It's going to be epic."

Biffy Clyro and The Coral are also on the bill for the Hogmanay gig.
