Kraftwerk, Massive Attack To Headline Bestival

February 27, 2009
Kraftwerk, Massive Attack To Headline BestivalKraftwerk and Massive Attack will headline the opening two days of this year's Bestival festival, it's been announced.

MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Klaxons and Seasick Steve will also perform at the event on the Isle of Wight, which will run from September 11th-13th.

Bat For Lashes, Florence and the Machine, and Friendly Fires are also on the line up.

Organisers have promised that “a very special Sunday headliner” will be announced shortly.

"I keep having to look at the scruffy piece of paper I keep the line up on in my diary to convince myself that we are indeed bringing Kraftwerk to the Isle of Wight,” organiser Rob Da Bank said.

“I'm so bloody happy I could cry but then I realise we’ve also got Massive Attack, MGMT, Seasick Steve, Klaxons, Bat For Lashes.”

A host of DJs, including Fabio & Grooverider, Zane Lowe and Derrick Carter, will also appear at the event.
