New John Lennon Documentary Features Unheard AudioSeptember 30, 2010
A new John Lennon documentary is set to include previously unheard audio recordings of the star.
LENNONYC recalls Lennon's time in New York and the impact the city had on his life and music until his death in 1980. Directed by Michael Epstein, the film features a light-hearted audioo recording of Lennon ordering a Sushi takeout meal. Epstein told Reuters: "John's is an immigrant story. We don't share a common past. What we share is a common vision for the future, at our best. “It's in that quiet, domestic place where he builds his own family that he finds his redemption." The film was premiered at the New York Film Festival last weekend and is due to be shown on US TV in November. Lennon would have turned 70 next month.
