Spandau Ballet: 'Oasis' Liam And Noel Need To Have A Punch-Up'October 15, 2009
Spandau Ballet have advised Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher to have “a punch-up” in order to resolve their disputes.
The pair's tumultuous relationship came to a head in August when Noel quit the group, saying he “could not go on working with Liam a day longer”. However, Spandau Ballet's Steve Norman has said the brothers could repair their relationship by using his band as an example. The 80s pop act were involved in a bitter legal dispute over song royalties throughout the 90s but resolved their differences to reform this year. He told the Daily Mirror: "Oasis need to have a punch-up, take each other to court if that's what it takes to get it out of their system. “But they are brothers like us and they love each other. Life's too short to hold a grudge.” Norman's band mate, Gary Kemp, added: "Oasis need to learn from us. No one has had more fights than us.” As previously reported, despite reports Liam would continue without Noel, the singer announced last week that Oasis “is no longer”. Meanwhile, Spandau Ballet kicked off their reunion tour in Dublin earlier this week. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Noel Gallagher Backs LS Lowry Campaign (26.04.2011)
