Metallica's Lars Ulrich Brands Some Kind Of Monster 'Stupid'July 20, 2010
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has condemned the band's tour documentary Some Kind Of Monster as “stupid”.
The group were followed during the making of their 2003 'St Anger' for the film, which was released the following year. At the time of filming, they were receiving group therapy to help them work together. In an interview with the Sydney Herald Sun, Ulrich said he still faced questions about the documentary. "Every time I see Noel Gallagher he quotes lines from that movie back to me. That thing has taken on a life of its own,” he said. “I had to live that shit for three ****ing years! The whole thing was a mind****. I am aware a lot of other musicians seem to have lived a lot of those moments.” Ulrich added: “They weren't necessarily stupid enough to film them like we were and share them with the rest of the world". Metallica are currently on a summer break before resuming their World Magnetic tour in Austrlia in September.
