Nikki Sixx, Steven Adler Pay Tribute To Alice In Chains' Mike StarrMarch 9, 2011
Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler and Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx have paid tribute to Mike Starr, who has died.
The original bassist in Alice In Chains was found dead at a house in Salt Lake City earlier this week. He was 44. A host of music stars have remembered the star on Twitter, including Adler, who described it as a “sad day”. Sixx said: "RIP Mike Starr. Another fallen Soldier to addiction... :(" Starr had battled drug problems and appeared on US reality show Celebrity Rehab last year to help combat his addiction. Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum said on Twitter: "Drugs and alcohol aren't a joke. Please take care of yourself and respect yourself. We lost Mike Starr today. Rest in Peace man." Starr was a founding member of Alice In Chains before his departure in 1993. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Alice In Chains Pay Tribute To Mike Starr (09.03.2011)
