Marilyn Manson Ingests Drugs and Alcohol To Beat Swine Flu

September 23, 2009
Marilyn Manson Ingests Drugs and Alcohol To Beat Swine FluMarilyn Manson battled through a show in Montreal last night (September 22) despite being diagnosed with swine flu a day earlier.

The 40-year-old rocker - real name Brian Hugh Warner - made the swine flu confession on his Myspace page on Monday, writing:

“So I have officially been diagnosed, by a real doctor, with THE SWINE FLU. I know everyone will suggest that fucking a pig is how this disease was obtained.

“However, the doctor said, my past choices in women have in no way contributed to me acquiring this mysterious sickness. Unfortunately, I am going to survive.”

While mere mortals like Slipknot and Morrissey cancel their shows at the first hint of illness, Manson vowed to carry on with the gig at the Bell Center, Montreal despite being noticeably under the weather.

According to The Montreal Gazette, Manson told the crowd “I've filled my body with enough drugs and alcohol to make germs afraid.”

Manson continues his North American tour in Quebec tonight playing two further shows before coming to Europe in November and December.
