The Pixies Make Donation To Save The 100 Club CampaignNovember 16, 2010
The Pixies’ Frank Black has made a donated to the campaign to save London’s 100 Club, according to reports.
The historic venue, which has seen performances from bands including the Rolling Stones and Sex Pistols, is facing closure due to spiraling rent costs. Black has donated £100,000 to help rescue the venue, according to The Sun. The Save the 100 Club campaign has already attracted support from the likes of Bobby Gillespie and Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell. Earlier this month The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger also backed the campaign and said there was still a “real need” for venues like the 100 Club.
