Phil Selway: Radiohead Are Like 'Band Of Brothers'October 4, 2010
Radiohead drummer Phil Selway has compared the band’s relationships with each other to brothers.
Selway, who is currently promoting a solo album, said all five members enjoyed a “strong bond”. “It's not like a group of friends. It's not like a group of colleagues. It is much more akin to a sibling relationship where you have all these common experiences,” he said. “It dates right back to when we were all at school together. “You've been through all those life changes together, effectively from being boys to toying with the idea of being adults, and sticking, actually, to being boys again.” In an interview with the Associated Press, Selway added that their close relationship meant he and his band mates were able to “gauge” each other “quite intuitively”. Meanwhile, Radiohead have reconvened in the studio to continue work on the follow-up to 2007’s ‘In Rainbows’. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Radiohead Record Store Day Release Leaks Online (14.04.2011)
