Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos Holds Music Workshop For ChildrenJuly 8, 2010
Franz Ferdinand singer Alex Kapranos held a music industry workshop for schoolchildren in London today (July 7).
The frontman offered advice on how to get into the industry, as well as performing acoustically at the British Music Experience inside the O2 Arena. “I enjoyed meeting the kids here today and talking about my experiences as a musician,” Kapranos said. “It's good to take a bit of the mystery out of song writing, while still enjoying its magic. It's been rewarding to give back a little of what I've learnt myself.” The British Music Experience has partnered with the Co-operative's Inspiring Young People campaign, which aims to help young people across the UK. The company is giving away 15,000 free tickets to the British Music Experience as part of its goal. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Franz Ferdinand Launch Fashion Collection (20.01.2011)
