Metallica's Lars Ulrich Sued By Personal Assistant

February 10, 2011
Metallica's Lars Ulrich Sued By Personal AssistantMetallica's Lars Ulrich's former personal assistant has filed a lawsuit against the drummer claiming that he is owed years of unpaid overtime.

Steven Wiig, who said he worked tirelessly when the drummer was at home and on tour, is seeking damages for alleged state and federal labour violations.

He has also sued Ulrich for a breach of oral contract and continuing wages, a lawsuit filed at Marin Superior Court showed.

Wiig's claims include not being paid bonuses in 2006 and 2008, and accumulated overtime when he left the post in February 2009.

Ulrich and Team Tours, a Burbank company that issued Wiig's paychecks, are named a defendants in the lawsuit, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

Wiig is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.
