M.I.A: 'I've Written The Perfect Song For Jay-Z'

July 6, 2010
M.I.A: 'I've Written The Perfect Song For Jay-Z'M.I.A says she has written the “perfect song” for Jay-Z and that she wants to produce it with the rapper.

The singer said she intended for the unnamed track to go on her forthcoming new album but thought it would suit Jay-Z better.

"I really want to produce for him. ... I have got the perfect song for Jay-Z!" she told MTV News.

"In fact, that's the best one that I had for my album which never made it. [It was] the first song I was really into and the song that actually made my album go in the direction it did, [but it] never actually made the album.

“But I want to give it to [Jay-Z], because I think it suits him more. It's insane. He's never done anything like that."

The pair have previously worked together on the 2008 song 'Swagga Like Us', which also featured T.I., Kanye West and Lil' Wayne.

And last month Jay-Z remixed 'XXXO', a song from M.I.A's new album 'Maya', which is released this month.
