Rihanna Denies Whitney Houston's 'The Bodyguard' RemakeMarch 10, 2011
Rihanna has ruled out recent speculation that she will star in 'The Bodyguard' remake.
The singer, who has been added to this year's V festival line-up, has denied that she is in the running to replace Whitney Houston in the remake of the 1992 film starring Kevin Costner. "Absolutely not. I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time, because you can never look at them as anybody else. I want to play a character, my whole life is playing Rihanna, being a singer won't be a stretch for me," Rihanna told OK magazine. She added: "I like challenges and being an actor is playing a role, being able to step into somebody else's shoes. That's the excitement." Other musicians rumoured to be in line for the role include Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. (by Holly Frith) See also: Jessie J Wants Rihanna For 'Do It Like A Dude' Duet (26.04.2011)
