Bruno Mars, Phil Collins Top UK ChartsSeptember 27, 2010
Bruno Mars has topped the UK singles chart with his debut single, ‘Just The Way You Are (Amazing)’.
The LA-based singer sold almost twice as many copies as nearest rival Taio Cruz’s ‘Dynamite’, which settled for number two. Must Be The Music Winner Emma’s Imagination went straight in at number seven with ‘Focus’ - her second top-10 single this month. Italian DJ Alex Gaudino debuted at number ten with ‘I’m In Love (I Wanna Do It)’, according to the Official Charts Company. Meanwhile, in the album chart, Phil Collins new album LP ‘Going Back’ climbed to number one from number four last week. The former Genesis star’s first studio album in eight years is a tribute to the songs, songwriters and performers who first inspired him. Manic Street Preachers went straight in at number three with ‘Postcards From A Young Man’, while Maroon 5’s ‘Hands All Over’ debuted at number six. Mumford & Sons’ Mercury Prize-nominated album ‘Sigh No More’ re-entered the top-10 at number nine. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Bruno Mars Avoids Prison Over Cocaine Charge (17.02.2011)
