Depeche Mode Announce February 2010 Royal Albert Hall ShowDecember 15, 2009
Depeche Mode have announced details of a special show at The Royal Albert Hall next year.
The electro-rock legends will play the hallowed London venue on February 17 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The show is the opening night of the TCT series which will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. Martin Gore from the band said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be a part of Teenage Cancer Trust and very proud to be kicking off the 10th year of gigs. We’ve never played the Royal Albert Hall before, so we’re really looking forward to that too.” Patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust, The Who's Roger Daltrey, said: "When The Who first got together in 2000 to raise money for this brilliant charity, I had no idea we’d achieve so much from these shows: £8.7million to date and still counting. “I’m extremely proud of these concerts and the work Teenage Cancer Trust does to help young people fight cancer. I’m forever inspired by the support I have received from the artists and members of the music and comedy industries and thrilled that Depeche Mode are with us for 2010.” Tickets for the Depeche Mode show go on sale from 9am this Friday (December 18).
