Weezer Unveil Lost Inspired New Album ArtworkAugust 10, 2010
Weezer have unveiled the artwork for their new album 'Hurley', which is released on September 13.
The album, which is the follow-up to 2009's 'Raditude', features a picture of actor Jorge Garcia, who played Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes in Lost. Frontman Rivers Cuomo said the band were struggling to come up with a title before “we just went with some random word that doesn't really have anything to do with anything”. He told Spinner that the picture of Garcia had an “amazing vibe”. Meanwhile, the band have also debuted new track 'Memories', which can be heard below.
'Hurley' will be Weezer's first release with Epitaph Records following their departure from Geffen in 2009. The US band are set to play the Reading and Leeds festivals later this month. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Weezer Announce July London Gig (15.03.2011)
