Elvis Presley Celebration Gig Set For London's Hyde ParkJuly 28, 2010
A concert celebrating the life and music of Elvis Presley is set to take place in London later this year.
The Elvis Forever gig, at Hyde Park on September 2, will be hosted by BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans and broadcast live on the radio station. A host of guest stars are to perform some of Elvis's biggest hits to mark what would have been his 75th birthday year. "As the Radio 2 audience knows, I am a huge Elvis fan and it's an honour to host such a celebration of the enduring appeal of his music," Evans said. A similar concert was held in Hyde Park last year to celebrate Swedish pop group Abba. Tickets are on sale now. (by Jason Gregory) See also: U2's Bono Compares David Bowie To Elvis (23.11.2010)
