Etta James Diagnosed With Dementia And Leukemia

Etta James has been diagnosed with dementia and leukemia, it has emerged.

The US blue singer’s health problems were revealed in court documents filed by her husband Artis Mills.

He said James was no longer able to control her own money, while a doctor said she needed help eating and getting dressed.

Mills is seeking control of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees’ finances, which total more than $1million, reports BBC News.

James, whose hits include ‘At Last’, has not performed since last year when she was admitted to hospital suffering from a blood infection.
