Rihanna 'Shocked' Eminem Wanted To Work With Her

Rihanna has admitted she was “shocked” when Eminem originally asked her to appear on his latest album ‘Recovery’.

The pair recorded the song ‘Love The Way You Lie’ for the album, and have since worked on a sequel to the track which will appear on Rihanna’s new LP.

In an interview with MTV News, Rihanna said she was surprised that Eminem wanted to work with her because of his comments about pop stars in the past.

"That's the first thing I thought. I was like, 'What? Eminem wants to do a song with a pop artist? With me?' 'Cause, you know, he always raps and talks sh*t about pop artists and pop female artists," she said.

"So it was more of a shock to me than anything, and then that was the first thought.

“The second thought was, 'Of course I'll do a song with Eminem.' That's just something that doesn't come around every day. And then thirdly, I heard the song, and I just loved it."

Eminem’s appearance on Rihanna’s new album ‘Loud’ is one of a host of guest collaborations including Drake and Nicki Minaj.

The follow-up to 2009’s ‘Rated R’ is released on November 15.
